EQUIPPED WITH 8000# AXLES/16000# GVW, GOOSENECK COUPLER, AND INCLUDES 17.5" SOLID WHEEL 16-PLY RUBBER/HEAVIER AXLE BEAM/LARGER BRAKES/OIL BATH, ETC. THIS UNIT HAS A 66" POWER TAIL, SO A 16.5+5.5' LENGTH. We don't have anything really to compare it to as this is a pretty unique trailer that, for the most part, isn't replicated in the market. That said we'll have a look compared to other gravity tilt trailers: Dexter axles (not Lippert's or import's), Torsion suspension (I'm not aware of many in the industry using torsion as a standard. Usually a $500-$800 option or not available. Besides offers a premium ride, it lowers the trailer similar to a drop axle, low 22-23" deck height but without axle ground clearance issues), Aluminum toolbox (most won't come with a toolbox standard, and in the event they do it will be steel), wet coat paint (most are going to be powder coat, not because it's better, but to be VOC complaint), 8"/15# I-beam frame (some will be channel, if I-beam usually a 10# frame. Most use a 15# beam for 10000# axle trailers), 4-bolt adjustable cast coupler (some of the ones adjustable will be a stamped coupler & most will be a 2-bolt), 17.5" 16-ply tires (on 8000# axles about half the industry uses a 16" 14-ply tires which has about 700# less capacity per tire, but the wheel is not solid/about 3x's lighter), HD 10ga fenders (most are going to be 14ga), Tie downs (tie downs in normally hard-to-secure spots, between fenders/rear of trailer tie downs, all the way forward at the headache rack, etc), Full deck (some tilt trailers only have a 75" or so nestled bed frame and don't cover the full 82"), 3 3/8" drums (A decent amount of manufacturers are now using a cheater non-SAE 8000# axle that use the same 2 1/4" drums or 2.5" drums used on 5/6/7000# axles rather than heavier 3 3/8" drums same as a 10000# axle.
