The YHX 40k flatbed is outfitted with our hydraulic dovetail as a standard feature, which provides a full-width loading surface that's 12' long with a 12-degree loading angle. Getting your tractors and other heavy equipment loaded up and on the deck is as easy as pressing a button. The hydraulic dovetail can handle 8,000lb when loaded on the front half of the dovetail, NOT distributed the length of the tail. This gives you an effective bed extension for extra hauling capacity. For better traction when loading, the dovetail has blackwood on the outsides of the deck and also has metal traction cleats on the knife edge in the rear. The YHX trailer's frame is built out of a massive 14" x 22 lb i-beam, and comes in deck lengths of 34' to 40'. The YHX 40k hydraulic dovetail flatbed has a lengthy torque tube underneath the deck for added stiffness as well as a channel bridge on the underside of the frame. A hefty 8" channel outer frame paired with 4" channel crossmembers comes standard on every YHX. Twin 16K electric/hydraulic brake axles come as standard running gear on the YHX flatbed for a GVWR of 40,000 pounds, but three 12k electric/hydraulic brake axles are also an option on this trailer. Multiple suspension types are also available, from adjustable suspension, which is standard, to Ridewell airbag suspension, which also allows for lifting the front axle when not loaded.
